Amavida Coffee Roasters

Amavida Coffee Roasters:ย Honey Peru Huabalโ€”Located high in the Andes mountain range, above the city of Jaen, is the Huabal district. This region is home to farmers cultivating some of Peruโ€™s best coffee. The producer group CENFROCAFE was founded in 1999 and represents more than 2,000 coop members of local associations in Cajamarca. Our Honey Peru Huabal is from a special prep program organized by CENFROCAFE. It is comprised of only the ripest cherries from farms specifically in the Huabal district. This organic honey-processed lot has a velvety body and very mild acidity. An aroma of raspberry and figs gives way to berries, figs, and cream in the cup. In a blind tasting Coffee Review awarded this lot 93 points.

Monogram Coffee

monogramlallama

Monogram Coffee:ย La Llamaโ€”This version of La Llama is a super fun, naturally processed java and caturra coffee that brings bright notes of grape candy, cherry liqueur and dark chocolate. Located in Caranavi, Bolivia, La Llama is Agricafeโ€™s highest farm. The farm itself got itโ€™s name โ€œLa Llamaโ€, after Boliviaโ€™s most emblematic animal, the llama. When the Agricafe team first went to go look at the land, they encountered a proud looking llama and thus, the name of the farm was born. They grow many varieties, but are well known for their beautiful caturras and javas. This particular coffee has been processed using Agricafeโ€™s Coco Natural process, which leaves the coffee to ferment for longer than the average natural and gives the coffee bean the appearance of a cocoa bean โ€“ hence the name Coco Natural.

Night Swim Coffee:ย Leonid Ramirez โ€“ EF2 Castilloโ€”This is a super classic Colombian profile. Itโ€™s expressive, sweet, and absolutely crushable. Youโ€™ll notice hints of dried berries, fresh pecan pie, and a sparkling lime-like acidity. This particular coffee comes from Leonid Ramirez, a coffee grower in Cofinetโ€™s producing group for 7 years running. Leonid cares for his farm, La Cortina de Hierro, in Quindio, Colombia. Itโ€™s 100% Castillo, a lab augmented cultivar that is more productive to common Caturra and resistant to leaf rust. This coffee was exposed to a dry aerobic fermentation of 24 hours and then placed inside Grainpro bags for 50 more hours at a temperature below 22 degrees celsius. Then, the coffee was pulped, gently washed, and placed on raised beds to dry. This is a super classic Colombian profile. Itโ€™s expressive, sweet, and absolutely crushable. Olympia Coffee Roasters:ย Jose Hernan Salazar Aji Ethiopian Landraceโ€”This unique coffee was produced by Josรฉ Hernรกn Salazar, from the town of Pitalito in southern Colombia. Josรฉโ€™s coffee was initially brought to our attention at Colombiaโ€™s Cup of Excellence competitions in 2020 and 2021, where he won 6th and 5th place respectively. This lot is what Josรฉ calls the โ€œAjรญโ€ varietal, which is the Spanish word for chili pepper. Josรฉ named it after noticing the spicy smell of its cherries. These delicate chili pepper-like qualities are also subtly present in the cup, giving this coffee a truly one-of-a-kind flavor โ€“ berry, caramel, and floral.
