It’s coffee awards season! Nominations are now open for the 14th Annual Sprudgie Awards Presented By Pacific Barista Series! Voting is easy and free and you can vote for all categories here. What are the Sprudgie Awards?
The Sprudgie Awards honors leadership and excellence in the world of coffee. Each year, over a dozen awards are presented in the following categories:ย The Sprudgie Awards has been called “the Oscars of Coffee”, the “Soap Opera Digest Awards of Coffee”, and even “The Cable Ace Awards of Coffee”. We love these comparisons to entertainment’s most prestigious award ceremonies but we like to think of ourselves as the Peoples’ Choice Awards of Coffee. The choice is yours. And your choice is free!
There is no fee to submit a nomination to the Sprudgie Awards, and no membership required to vote in the Sprudgie Awards, all thanks to the ongoing community support of our partners at Pacific Barista Series.

Notable Roaster
This award honors a roaster doing exemplary work. This may include roasted coffee quality, strength of e-commerce, cafe locations (if applicable), laudable business and staffing practices, and all other facets of running a successful roaster. Visit past winners here!
Notable Coffee Producer
This award honors outstanding work by a coffee producer. Visit past winners here!
Best New Cafe
This award is presented to a cafe that has opened in 2022. Nominations for cafes that have opened before January 2022 will not be eligible for this category. Visit past winners here!
Best Coffee Event
This award is given to an outstanding event taking place in the year 2022, including digital and online events. Visit past winners here!
Outstanding Achievement
This award is presented each year to a remarkable coffee person, organization, cause, or entity that embodies coffee excellence. Visit past winners here!

Best Design Packaging
This work honors notable design or packaging work in coffee. Nominees may include coffee products, coffee bags, coffee logo or graphic design work, or any other example of outstanding coffee design. Visit past winners here!

Sustainable Coffee Company
This award is presented to a cafe or coffee company for prioritizing sustainable environmental and industry stewardship. This can include zero-waste practices, pursuing a reduced carbon footprint, highlighting sustainable coffees and products, and a commitment to equity and industry leadership. Visit past winners here!
