Classes for Kids and Parents - Provided by Family Grounds Cafe.
Art: exploratorium!
Time: Tuesdays 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Cost: $90 for the 6-week session (7/13,7/20,7/27,8/3,8/10,8/17)

Description: Bring your kids for some after-school creativity! Your child will have the opportunity to explore art materials and processes during this class time. A variety of art mediums will be introduced and children will be encouraged and lead through a various art and craft creations. Complexity of project is adjusted as necessary to accommodate children of a various ages and art experience.
Parents and caregivers, you will be able to sit back and relax in our comfy cafe while your child is busy creating their masterpieces. Or, if you have a younger child check out our play space.
Please note that in all of our art classes we believe that a love of art comes about through fun exploration and our focus is on the process not on the outcome!
Messy art Classes
Time: Tuesdays 10:00am – 10:45am (2 years) / 11:00am - 11:45am (3 years)

Description: Calling all parents of mini artists! Here’s your chance to let your little one explore their artistic side. We will provide the art supplies and the space for the mess. Class designed to explore the fun regarding the art process.
Your child will be lead through age-appropriate art projects with a variety of art mediums. The best part is NO clean-up on your part! Parent participation is required for the 2 year old class. Parent participation is optional for the 3 year old class (you know your child's comfort level best.) Aprons provided. Appropriate child attire required.
Baby Signs summer a la carte series
Time: Thursdays 11:15am – 12:00pm
Signs for: Farm: 7/15, Zoo: 7/22, Safety:8/5, Feelings: 8/12, Birthday Party: 8/19

Teacher: Local Speech Pathologist and mom, Wendy Auffant
Description: Do you already have some experience signing with your baby? Perhaps you enrolled in Sign, Say and Play classes, attended a free session, read a book, or learned on your own. This is the class for you. This class teaches babies and toddlers simple, easy-to-do gestures for communicating with their parents and caregivers across five, fun new . Signs are introduced while playing games, singing songs and exploring toys and books. Parents will learn strategies and play activities to help reinforce their child's social emotional development. Topics include the role of music in emotional development, building self confidence, balancing baby’s budding autonomy with safety, forming a strong attachment bond, and developing social skills. Sign up for as many or as few as you like but come sign and play with your child!
